Marlin 1895

Post by matt45219 »

Hi everyone. I recently inherited several rifles from my grandfather. I'm more of a handgun guy so i was just planning on selling the rifles. One of the rifles given to me was a Marling model 1895. I called Marlin and they told me my rifle was manufactured in 1896. I was also told it fires a 40-65. I know the rifle is in very bad condition but am told it could still be valuable because of its age. The action seems to be broken. If anyone has any information or the value or interest in the rifle please let me know. Have a great day. Matt

Here are two pictures of the rifle.

Hi everyone. I have received a local offer for $300. Can anyone please tell me if that is good or bad? Thanks Matt

In it's current condition (needs a lot of work), I think I'd jump at the $300 offer.
