1873 value

Post by elantz »

I have a 1873 model rifle with an octagon barrel. There is no calibre on the markings. Also curious of the value of such a piece. I also have a model 39a-22 rifle. They are both lever action. Was going to take to a gunsmith for value.

An 1873 is a Winchester rifle, not a Marlin. The best way to find a value for you rifle (s) is to watch the online auctions on GunBroker and Auction Arms. You can get a real good idea of what yours is worth by finding one in the same condition, and waiting for it to sell. Don't go by the outrageous asking prices on some of these - just go by the ones that actually sell.
