Marlin 1895, 132 years old - one family owned

Somewhere in the late 1880s, my Grandfather in Texas purchased a Marlin 1895 (.33 CF) Rifle. The rifle was "on his arm" when we walked through the woods together on his ranch in Texas. My grandfather gave me the rifle and I've carefully stored it for many decades (since 1952) along with a few rounds of ammo that are just keepsakes (.33 WCF rounds).
According to a web site I recenly found that has a set up to enter the Serial Number, my rifle was manufactured in 1883. The serial number is A5771 for anyone who might be curious, noting that I don't know of a way to confirm that the manufacturing date reported by the site is correct.
For a correct value in the collector's market, I'm interested in selling this family memento to a serious collector who will value the rifle, respect it's age. We're located in California and this is my first posting, anywhere, that this is an opportunity for a collector.
