Model 39
Model 39
Hello all, I have for sale a Marlin 39 22 cal.Not high power, with an 3 numbers s116. it has a star stamp. I brought it to the Arizona gun show and a collector said it was 70%. the butt plate is cracked and he said the magazine tube looked short. It looks good to me. He wanted to buy it there, but he`s a bussiness man and did`nt trust him . I have had it for 8 yrs, been in my gun safe. I knew it was old so I never fired it nor did I do anything to it. I am not a dealer, cannot ship it. I live in Phoenix Arizona.

Back in the 40's/ 50's, I was raised in Glendale Arizona. If your 39 has the button
release magazine, they were always a 1/2 inch short of the muzzle. This is because
the outer magazine tube is the same length as the 1897 tube, but without the latch.
They just converted it to the button release.
