The letter "M" [prefix indicates your Marlin Model 336 was made in 1955.

I just got my first Marlin 30-30 ( I had been waiting a long time)
Mine is a Model 336RC serial number H24989
how old would this puppy be?

H prefix to serial number means made in 1951
