registration and looking for a stock

Post by GFC »

Hi folks, I'm new here. I called Marlin today to ask about a Model 24 shotgun that's been in my family for about 100 years. The stock is broken, a piece is missing. I'm wanting to find a replacement stock and maybe even another barrel that I can cut down to 18". Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

GFC;

Every once in a while, a butt stock will show up on eBay. The last one I bought was about $45.00. Precision Gun Stocks of Kerrville, Texas did make a reproduction stock for the Model 1898 which will work on your Model 24. The stock does not have to be for a Model 24 as all exposed hammer shotgun butt stocks interchange, model to model. I had a bad butt stock on a 16 gauge Model 30, and put a 12 gauge Model 19 stock on it. Fit like it was made for it.
You might find another barrel on one of the gun auctions sites like Auction Arms or Gun Broker.
Good luck..........
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
