model 20

I own a Marlin glenfield model 20 serial number P3754429. I received it as a present when I was young, and was wondering the age of the gun.

Djeff;

The Marlin Glenfield Model 20, clip fed, bolt action, .22 caliber rifle was made from 1966 to 1981. Your gun with a "P" serial number prefix is a bit perplexing as the letter "P" on lever action guns indicates a manufacture year of 1957. The letter prefixes do not apply in this case as there was another serializing system used on guns other than lever actions 1962 to 1968. But here, the letter "P" was not used, just the letters F through L.
So I really am not sure exactly when your Model 20 was made. Look at the side of the barrel for a two letter code that might have been used in the later mentioned system.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.
