That is an easy one.......1968. The first two digits of the serial number gave that one away. It must be a very late 1968 gun, as most guns made in 1968 will have a prefix of the letters "AD" before the serial numbers. Marlin only used this system of the first two digits representing the date of manufacture for a couple of years as dealers complained that Marlin was "dating" the inventory, so Marlin changed the system in 1973.
