Model 36 A 30 30 # 13789
This has been in our family a while -- hunted with it many years ago. Trying to learn its age and history. Help please? Lever action, still fires nicely. Thanks. Malcolm

Malcolm;
Is there a letter prefix to that serial number? There should be either a letter "C" or "D" . Is the receiver side drilled and tapped for a receiver sight? Is the receiver blued or case-colored? Does your Model 36 have a 20 inch barrel or a 24 inch barrel? If it has a 20 inch barrel, does it have a full magazine or a 2/3's magazine?
Answers to these questions will help identify your Marlin Model 36. Looking forward to your reply..........

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
