Schematics for a model 43, please help
My brother gave me a Model 43 that was our fathers. He tried to clean it, took the guts out of the receiver, and got frustrated trying to put it together, and said it was mine . I have tried to get it back together, and am about 90%, but just am not there. Is there a schematic I could look at somewhere. I really do not want to pay a gunsmith just to put it back together. Thanks Guys

Baydog;
Find or borrow a copy of William S. Brophy's book, Marlin Firearms, A History of the Guns and the Company that made them and on pages 398 & 399 are photographs of Model 44 with the parts laid out in proper positions. This should help. It is not the same model as yours, but the internals are quite similar.
Good luck..........

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
