Marlin Crescent Buttstock
I have located an early Marlin buttstock, and want some help in determining what it might fit. The top tang inletting is correct for the Model 1893, but the bottom inletting is about 1/2" longer than the lower tang extends. Any idea what model this fits? Thanks.

It sounds like a model 1889
