Reloading for .45 colt
Am new to reloading and own both a Blackhawk with a 4 3/4 inch barrel and a new 1st year of modern manufacture Marlin 1894 Cowboy with a 24 inch barrel. Am looking for info on a load that I can shoot through both guns to keep it simple. Have been using HMS 250 gr RNFP hard casts over 8 grains of Unique and Starline Brass with Winchester large pistol primers in the Blackhawk. Not looking to drop water buffalo with one shot. Just want some recommendations on a reasonable load to plink with...Also, what's considered a max load for the 1894 action using Unique as the propellant? thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide....

Get anybody's reloading manual and follow it. Get info from people on the net is a good way to have dangerous problems. Go here for unique loads. FYI Unique is a very dirty powder.
