I need some reloading data for the 1898 pump using Pyrodex RS type powder or black powder which ever works best for this gun. Also which hulls to use.

The hammer pump Marlins don't like BP very well. They are fairly easy to break down and clean but you don't want to do this too much.
I used low recoil AA or STS in mine (98, 18 and 30G) and reloads that replicate those rounds would work fine, but don't shoot it too much. Repair parts are hard to find. I have a really early 98 (S/N 77) and rarely shoot it now.
