H&R 924 when was it made?

Post by schepers »

My grandpa has a H&R model 924 .22 pistol. The serial number is AP10881.
I did not know if someone may know how to look up when it was made.

Thanks Jim

Jim;

You might want to check that model number again. I cannot find any referece to a Model 924. All my references go from the Model 923 to the Model 925, skipping the number 924.
Hopefully, you just made a typing error and we will find the information you seek.
Looking forward to your reply........

OK, I checked the number again. Turns out I can't read my own handwriting. Guess I won't be able to get on my 10 year old about her handrwiting anymore. The model number was a 929.

Jim;

Better..........The H&R Model 929 'Sidekick" was made from 1956 to 1985. It was re-introduced in 1996, but was discontinued right after that. I do not have any serial number information on your particular pistol to tell you what year it was made, but there are some websites that have dates of manufacture. You might want to check there. One site is as follows: http://savage99.com/dates.htm
Good luck....
