Re: 1881 Ejector
I needed the same part a couple of years ago and ended up buying a complete bolt from Larry Osborne to get the ejector. Nobody seemed to be making this part. If you are having problems posting pictures and can't figure it out you could send the pictures to my email address and I can post to this pos...

Mystery 1881
Hi everyone, i recently was checking the butt plate on a model 1881 to see if numbers matched. When I removed the plate, I discovered 2 machine nuts embedded in the stock. They were not glued in just loosely setting in the wood. The rifle is in very good condition. My question is, has anyone else en...

Re: MARLIN Model 1889?
I have seen pictures of this rifle on another site. The rifle appears to be have been a special ordered rifle, it has 1/2 round barrel, pistol grip checked stock. The mag tube appears chromed but was likely done when the rifle was refinished which is obvious in the photos. Half round barrels are a r...

Re: Model 1881
Had some good luck this weekend at a gun show . Vendor had a box of Marlin parts and digging through it found 2 lever latch springs. Sold them to me for a couple bucks each. Pays to get your fingers dirty once in a while. I had some screws that fit. Rifle's lever no longer sags.

Re: Model 1881
Still looking for 1881 lever latch spring. Have tried, Larry Osborne, Wisners, Outback Gun parts, Gun Garage, Numrich, Bobs Gun Parts. Reluctant to pay $75 for this part on eBay. Wisners used to have them for $35 or $40. They just haven't got around to making anymore. Will try any suggested supplier...

Thanks Rick, will check with Larry.Regnier (gunrunner) wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 3:49 pm Brian;
Check with Larry Osborn. I sold him some parts back in May, and there were Model 1881 parts there. Cannot tell you if there was a lever spring there or not.
Good luck.......
