Re: Where to buy an 1891 firing pin

Sounds like they need to keep more parts in stock. If your sales are low and you don't make parts to sell that usually explains low sales. I have made a few before Wisners started making them. Hope it works out for you on the transfer. If you could keep us posted on how the process worked for you it might help someone else out. Rules can change on both sides of the border. It's been a couple of years since I have done it.

Re: Unknown 1892

As everyone will tell you without pictures no one can appraise your rifle. Based on the description of the artwork and Penny added I can assure you it was not factory done. You must use a third party to post photos. Either Photobucket or Imgur.

Re: Neat old Marlin-Ideal mold

Hi Vall interesting reference. I am in Arizona and away from my collection so I will check in the Spring. I got a lot of loading tools of various manufactures including Marlin Ideal and Marlin 1881 combo tools. Just last week found an early Winchester mold and spoon handle loading tool for the .50-7...

Side cutting pliers

I have collected old tools for a long while and have always wondered about the photo in the Marlin Firearms book by Mr. Brophy. On page 79 there is a photo with the caption," Cutter Jaw for side cutting pliers that Marlin manufactured by the thousands." My questions to collectors of Marlin...
