jRaysbaja; A Malrin with the letter "T" as the serial number prefix was manufactured in 1960. Marlin made the .35 Remington caliber guns from 1951 to 1983. Marlin made 3 versions of the 336 in 1960, a carbine, a Texan carbine ( straight grip version of a carbine ) both with 20 inch barrels...

ROB;

The old factory records show your serial number as a Model 1889 that left the factory in early 1890 with a 24 inch octagon barrel in .32-20 caliber.

MajorRichards;

According to Brophy, no more than 500 combination Model 90 shotguns were manufactured. The .218 Bee caliber guns were made on special order only, so more than likely, they will be extremely rare.

Re: How old is my Marlin Model 39 22 cal Serial # 5775

Carpy; The Marlin Model 39 without a serial number prefix(s) was made between 1921 and 1925. Your rifle with a serial number in the 5700 range would possibly been made sometime between 1922 and 1923. There are no records for this era, so we can only estimate from the known serial number ranges that ...

Re: Marlin 39A .22 Rifle

Willcravens; With the patent dates, octagon barrel and serial number provided, this is not a Model 39-A. It will be either a Model '92 or Model '97. There should be a model marking on the upper tang, behind the hammer. The "A" serial number prefix would tend to indicate that this was made ...
