Is this 336A a first model?

I think some had told me it is a first model, but you people will know for sure. 336A in .30-30 and 24 inch barrel, 3/4 magazine, serial E9768, stock plain, no checkering. Also what year does it date? Thank you very much for you help. Charlie

Marlin 1893 .32-40 date of manufacture

Can you give me an idea of manufacture date of my 28 inch Marlin, serial 405XXX. I am guessing around 1907-8.
Tang marked "Model 1893", "Special Smokeless Steel", "Marlin Safety". Octagon barrel, full magazine, not a crescent butt. Thank you very much for the info.

Can you give me an idea of value on a 24 inch, full magazine, 1894 in fine condition? Which it is. I am sure he wants about $1400.00. Thanks much.
