Question about a Tang peep sight for Model 1894 Marlin
I want to order a tang peep sight for my original .32-20 Marlin Model 1894 serial 231160, which I believe dates it 1901. Midway catalog shows a Marble sight for an 1894 original. They don’t say it, but I assume mounting holes would be 1 1/8 inch apart as on my Marlin. But with no mounting screws wh...

I think some had told me it is a first model, but you people will know for sure. 336A in .30-30 and 24 inch barrel, 3/4 magazine, serial E9768, stock plain, no checkering. Also what year does it date? Thank you very much for you help. Charlie

Can you give me an idea of manufacture date of my 28 inch Marlin, serial 405XXX. I am guessing around 1907-8.
Tang marked "Model 1893", "Special Smokeless Steel", "Marlin Safety". Octagon barrel, full magazine, not a crescent butt. Thank you very much for the info.

I have seen two "models" of Marlin's 1894 Cowboy Limited. These of course are the 24 inch barrel. One is checkered and factory tapped for receiver sight, and the other is plain stock and not tapped for receiver sight. Besides that, what is the difference if any? Thanks very much.
