I have just received a Marlin 1888 rifle in .32-20WCF. The rifle is in poor condition (minor rust bad bore). There are a couple of parts that are not original. I am in need of the upper tang screw and the screw at the front of the bottom of the receiver. I would also like to obtain a schematic, exploded-veiw or parts list. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Marlin 1888
Ranger Doug;
The tang screw and the trigger plate screw you need should be interchangable with either the Model 1889 or 1894. You can check with Numrich Gun Parts Corporation for those. (www.e-gunparts.com) They might have a parts diagram, but if not, email me and I might be able to scan a parts drawing from a early Marlin catalog. It will not show the parts in relative position to each other though. I do not know where to find a parts diagram showing parts relative to each other. Brophy did not take one apart to picture in his book as he did other guns.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
