Marlin Model 90 Combo guns

Post by Punklp »

I am looking for Marlin Model 90 Combo guns to fill out a collection. I would be interested in any that are for sale, especially those other than .22/.410

Thanks

These are extremely rare, and production is estimated at less than 500 guns. If you see any, you better buy them and try to upgrade later. Just be sure to watch for fakes, as some have surfaced recently.
Good luck........

In the past 5 years or so, Nurmrich sold some combination barrels for the model 90. Something to beware of. SW

Marlin Model 90's

Post by Punklp »

Thanks for the reply. I know combo's are rare but I do see them form time to time. I would also be interested in any of the very, very early Model 90's with the ducks & dogs engraved on the sides of the action.

Those are nearly as hard to find as the combination guns. The Skeet Kings are equally as hard to find, too.
The Marlin Firearms Collectors Association, Ltd. displayed the Marlin Model 90 at the NRA Convention in St. Louis, this past April. There were nearly all variations, including a straight griped Model 90. The only one I had ever seen or heard of. All the combination guns and Skeet Kings along with the early, "engraved" guns. It was a very nice display.

Marlin Model 90's

Post by Punklp »

Thanks for the reply. I've been putting together a Model 90 collection of the early guns with the side ribs. I need a 20 gauge and a few of the combos (I have a .22/.410) and really like them if they have the engraved sides. I did see a straight grip 90 once on the internet but thought it might have been restocked. Model 24 Winchesters are also hard to find with a straight grip. I used to have a large Marlin lever gun collection but they went for college tuition so as far as Marlins go I only have single shots and Model 90's left.
