thanx for the info
I collect believe it or not bolt action shotguns and 22s my brother gave me the Glenfield I am very knowledgable on the JC higgins bolt shotguns and Mossbergs / Stevens but somewhat shakey on Marlins The Marlins seem to be very well made simple and rugged.,and I like the Glenfield very much I have recently bought some old J C higgins 22 bolt action rifles but have not had time to check them over but I believe that they were made by Marlin . Sears mod 41 & 42 &43 and 44 all marked J C Higgins These rifles are very intresting and appear to be in good condition have not had time to get all the numbers off them and give them a good cleaning they donot have serial no.s but they do have the Sears vendor code numbers just have not had time to look them over Thanx Steve W for the info on my Glenfield

All four of the models you mentioned, the 41,42, 43, & 44, were made by Marlin for Sears.
