Marlin Model 93 Special Smokeless Steel

Post by Bigfillet »

I would like to know when my model 93 was manufactured and an approximate value. I bought it in a group of 6 guns about 15 years ago. The serial number is located under the lever and is 53xx. I’ll try to post pics if I figure it out. Does anyone know how to post pics from a phone. Thanks

Can't answer the phone picture question. But if you add some more details on markings on your Model '93 we can help better.
Need all markings on the barrel, and top tang, plus barrel length, and shape (round, octagon, or part octagon). Also if it has a black/white bullseye in the bottom of the stock about 2.5" forward of the buttplate.
The serial number being under the lever is a good indicator, as those guns will always be post WWI, but might narrow it down further with more info.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
