I have a model 1897 marlin in 22 caliber with octagon barrel that I would trade for a 1892 in 22cal. I prefer first year production original condition rifles. this mod 1897 was built in 1899. it has very little bluing left with no rust, and lumber is excellent. rifle is all original and in working order. bore is good and rifle shoots nicely. not for sale I prefer trading. may consider an 1893 or another interesting marlin lever rifle in 45-70 or in 22 cal.
