Hello,
I'm new to Marlin Collectors. I very recently purchased an 1893 rifle. It 's in very nice condition with take down and half octagon barrel. It also came with a Marble tang sight. My question is in regards to how tight the take down cam should be. I've been trying to release the takedown cam and it seems that the only way will be with a hammer and soft drift like a dowel or nylon drift. Is this normal? If not, is there a means of adjusting the tension on the cam?
