I have acquired a .22 bolt action rifle. It is stamped +MOHAWK+ Marlin Firearms Corporation .22 S L LR. There is no serial number or anything else. It is a bolt action and single shot. I have been unable to find any information about the rifle.
Can anyone give me any info? How old it might be? Value? Thank you in advance

Re: Marlin Mohawk
Msimecek;
I have found one reference to a firearm labeled "Mohawk". They were firearms made for the H&D Folsom Company that they marketed to Blish, Mizet and Sillman Hardware of Atchinson, Kansas. Marlin was just one of the companies that supplied firearms to H&D Folsom to sell under their trademark names.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Re: Marlin Mohawk
Hmm weird I was gifted my marlin 81dl along with a Remington Mohawk 10c that was also a 22 but it’s widely talked about online and a popular gun but I made the mistake of often calling it a marlin Mohawk as I knew nothing about either gun
