I have a 1893 38-55 26" octagon made 1908 - 1909
I think it,s reblued
Were they all case blued during that time or did they also come with standard bluing

After 1905, Marlin offered the B Grade, Model 1893's in .32-40 and .38-55 calibers. These guns were made with the old soft steel barrel and were marked =For Black Powder= In nearly all cases, these guns had blued receivers.
Also, the catalogs of the period offered blued guns that normally had case colored receivers for a nominal fee. Normally blued guns could be ordered with a case colored receiver as well.
