Serial number 25148. What is it worth?

Idisieno;

Whatever you can get for a Model 1888 with a barrel that has been cut off. The records show it left the factory with a 24 inch barrel.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

No signs of the barrel being cut. The rifle was bought in Texas. I understand that Marlin used the same serial number for several different rifles.

Unfortunatly going from 24" to 20" the part that would have left sign of shortening would have been cut off. Pics of the end of the barrel showing the front sight and magtube's dovetail locations may help clear things up.
