32. cal short colt in 32. cal long chamber?

Have some 32.cal short colt ammo would that be ok to shoot in my #2 marlin /ballard rifle, thats chambered for 32.cal long colt ammo

It will work fine. I have a Ballard #2 in .32 Ballard XL, and I shoot shorts, longs, and XL's all in it. The longer cases show better accuracy, but they all work. Clean the chamber with a good bore brush afterwards, and all will be well.
