rimfire bbl length

it seems to me that most everybody knows by now that the best length for a 22 lr is 16- 17 inch bbl , to get the maximum out of both accuracy and velocity. what would the correct lenght be for a 22 mag or a 17 hmr or 17 mach 2. My main interest is the 22 mag, if anyone knows, i would greatly appreciate it.

I may be way off base here but I thought I read in guns and ammo that 19" was prime for .22 and 16 was for .17 cal
