Doug;
What specifically do you want to know about the "Marlin" Target pistol. These guns are actually Hopkins & Allen single shot target pistols that were assembled from parts on hand after Marlin aquired H&A during WW I. They are scarce to find and there are some known in boxes that appear to be original. The exact number made is not known, but I have recorded serial numbers of over a dozen.
I saw one on one of the internet sites last week starting at $2,000.00. Looked like a nice example, but interest in these guns is weak as they were not a true Marlin product.
I will let someone else give you the information on the Model 336's.
I hope this helps.

Oh, it's just not well to say 'Never'!
As soon as one finds a neatly typed chart stating beyond doubt that a certain feature was dropped on a certain date, along comes an example to show the chart maker hadn't seen EVERY one of that model made! In this case, I took the word of Mr Murray, who wrote the 336 book, and he says the RC designation was dropped in "1960". Seems Mr Murray was off a bit. SW

I am really not an expert - distinguished or otherwise!!
Gilette, I'd like to see pics of that if you will. Thanks, Doug chpdoug@msn.com
