Good afternoon all,
I was directed here from Ruger/Marlin current customer service as they don't support any rifles made before they bought Marlin. Hoping someone here can help.
I'm working on a Marlin 336 in 35Rem that will not go all the way into battery with a round in the chamber. It will close to the point of the lever resting on the trigger safety pin, but it won't go any further. Without a round in the chamber it will go fully into battery. The thing is, the rear of the bolt is even with the back of the gun no matter if the lever goes all the way in or not. I have deep cleaned the gun and lubed it and that doesn't make a difference.
Any thought or ideas are appreciated.
I have pics I can send, but I was unable to post them here.
