What year the gun is and what it is worth

Post by Joel marlin »

I have a model 1893 Marlin. It is a 3855 octagon barrel serial number 128677. How would I find out what year this was made and how much it might be worth?it it is in fair condition and I am able to read all labels. It seems to chamber all the dummy bullets I put in.

Your 1893 should be made in 1894, but ship date could be anything after that. What it's worth is impossible to say without a better description, and very good pictures to view.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
