I recently purchased a Marlin 1895CB 45/70 Cowboy lever action rifle. It was made in 2002. How can I research this firearm using the serial number?
Thank you in advance, for your kind responses. DocPhil

DocPhil;
Unfortunately, you pretty much know all you will learn about your Marlin rifle now. Since you know it was made in 2002, about the only thing to be determined is how many of the Model 1895 CB (Cowboy) were made in 2002 or to what distributor it was shipped to. At this time, those records are unavailable.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
