ID Marlin 30/30 & Marlin 336 cal 35

Post by cpl3marlins »

Hi
SteveW if you pick this up thanks again for info on the 2 35cal Marlins i just bought.
My youngest son has a Marlin 336 cal. 35 it has black bute plate with white bushing between stock & plate also same for bottom of pistol grip. the bute plates are either hard rubber or bakerlite it also has MARLIN in center of it. Also gold colored trigger. Serial # 22148354. (note this was 3rd Marlin used in my name).
My Grand son just told me his 30/30 is a Marlin also I thought it was a Winchester. His Marlin is Cal. 30/30 win. Serial # 11025601.
Any info on either or both would be appreciated. All four marlins in family are for deer hunting & some target shooting.
THANK YOU

If Marlin made SA revolvers, I'd be shooting those, too!!!
