Marlin 39as Mountie rifle

Post by dolphan »

I have just purchase a Marlin 39AS that looks like a Mountie with a 20" barrel and straight stock. I can't find any info on this model or pictures anywhere.
Any info would be great. Gun was made in 1991.

Dolphan;

Are you sure about that barrel length? In 1991, Marlin did make the Model 39 TDS, a straight grip gun, but with a 16 1/2 inch barrel, not 20 inches.
What barrel marking is on the barrel?
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
