Model 93

Post by Trinkdw »

I have a Marlin Model 93. This was given to me by my Great-Uncle many years ago. I was wondering if I could get some info?
As I said it is a Model 93.
.32 Special
On top of barrel it says: The Marlin Firearms Corporation
New Haven.Conn.U.S.A. Patented
Next to rear site it says: Special Smokeless Steel
Behind rear site it says: .32 Special
On top in front of hammer it says:Marlin Safety
On top behind hammer it says: Marlin Model 93
Under lever it says:C1175
Can anyone give me info and value of this rifle.
It is in excellent condition inside and out.
If more info is needed from the rifle I can provide it.
Thanks

All I can tell you for sure, is it was probably made after 1922, and before 1935, as it has the Corporation marked barrel. You didn't mention the barrel length, but many of the '93's from this era have 20" barrels.
Can't give you a value, without personal inspection, as it's not easy to estimate guns sight unseen.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
