Information on marlin model 37 pump 22, S/N 4364

Post by Turkey2592 »

Does anyone know when this gun manufactured dates? How rare is this weapon? How old could this gun be? I have an old picture someone showing a child how to shoot this gun too. Any information would be great.

The model 37 was made from around 1923 to 1931. Records do not exist for this model, so precise dating is out.

The Brophy book shows the known serial number range to be from 490 to over 12,000. Which hints yours was made early on. Not chiseled in stone, though.

The model 37 is very similar to the older model 20 - The Marlin Firearms Corporation chose to use a new model number. There are small differences between the two, but they are not easy to spot. SW
