I just purchased the above mentioned gun. The SN is A355XX. Try as I might, I can't seem to get a manufacturer's date for this shotgun.
This is the first shotgun I have owned that has a ribbed barrel. She hasn't been well taken care of. I clean up old shotguns and this one looks as if it will turn out nicely.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

It seemed like a really good idea at the time. It wasn't until the smoke cleared that I realized I might have chosen poorly.

Your Marlin Model 120 was made at a time when Marlin was switching over their method of serializing many of their lines of products. The Model 120's had an "A" prefix from 1973 to 1977. From Brophy's book, it would appear that your Model 120 would have been made in 1975.
