How likely is it that a Model 1891 .32 caliber would have the long Rocky Mountain rear sight. Sight appears to have not been moved or messed with, but I thought the rimfires always had the shorter rear sight. Or is anything possible?
Thanks for any comments or opinions.

Re: Model 1891 Sight
Highly unlikely it came from Marlin with that long sight used on larger framed guns. It might have been changed a very long time ago, and that would explain it appearing to be there forever.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!

How difficult is it to find the correct sight? Do they ever show up for sale? Thank you for the info.

J7I2;
Correct sights do show up on eBay from time to time. Sometimes sights are not labeled correctly, so be careful and look at it very carefully to make sure it is the correct sight.
Good luck.......

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
