Marlin model 336
I’m looking at a used Marlin 336 and wondered if anyone could give me some feedback on a 1973 model 336 in 30-30 win. The gun has a JM barrel and is well used but the rifling looks great. Is this vintage a good rifle and is there any info that’s important to know? Always wanted a Marlin 30-30! Thanks!

Re: Marlin model 336
For the fairly modern Marlin 336, that '73 should be as good as it gets for quality. Not much made along the 336 model lineup that you'll find is any better than what Marlin made during that time period.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
