You could find a replacement for your current bolt it will take some foot work to fnd one. You can also consider putting a new Model 39A bolt, extractor and firing pin in your rifle and shot it while you look.

Yes! I would say you were lucky to put a new spring in the magazine you would have to take the tubes apart or completley take the magazine apart, quite lucky. This rifle is still in production and has changed some but the manul for the 39A will help you understand how to maintain the rifle and how to load and shoot it. You should be able to download a manual form the Marlin web site.

I have a early Model of the 39 rifle and it has no letter prefix, if your rifle was produced in 1926 it was at the start of the new model with letter prefix.

Check out the Numrich site part numbers for you rifle and they one you think that will fit, if the part numbers are the same so are the bolts.
