H&R Side Kick
I found a really nice .22 Side Kick that I would like to buy and was looking everywhere on the revolver for the serial number and from information I have gathered the number should be on the butt. The only this on the butt is the letter Y and nothing else. There is no finish on the butt and the Y is...

Most of the other models that are similar to your have two different length magazines.

Re: Model 39 Information
You could find a replacement for your current bolt it will take some foot work to fnd one. You can also consider putting a new Model 39A bolt, extractor and firing pin in your rifle and shot it while you look.

Re: 1897 22 magazine tube
Yes! I would say you were lucky to put a new spring in the magazine you would have to take the tubes apart or completley take the magazine apart, quite lucky. I would search some of the sight base manufactures they have listings of different bases for different types of rifle. Remember the Model 39 ...

Re: marlin 22 rimfire model 39
I am shooting standard .22 long loads and the box says high pressure, I am happy with being able to shoot as many of these as I want. I can't remember how hot the round I shoot was, I have just decided that I have no use for using that high of pressure loads and will stick with the Remingington and ...

Re: Marlin 39
This rifle is still in production and has changed some but the manul for the 39A will help you understand how to maintain the rifle and how to load and shoot it. You should be able to download a manual form the Marlin web site.
Good, luck

Re: marlin 22 rimfire model 39
I thought that you should not shoot anything other than low pressure sub sonic loads in this rifle with the original bolt. I did a bolt conversion to a modern bolt in order to shoot standard loads. I fired a high pressure load with the new bolt and the brass would not come out of the chamber and I h...

Re: 1897 22 magazine tube
If you take a look at the follower you will see a pin in it that rides in the slot in the tube. The pin is hard to see and can be drifted out and replaced. I don't know what buggered up means on the outer tube as long as it is not interfering with the operation of the magazine its inside the fore ar...

Re: early 39 deluxe
I have a early Model of the 39 rifle and it has no letter prefix, if your rifle was produced in 1926 it was at the start of the new model with letter prefix.

Re: 1897 Bolt (replaced?)
The idea of replacing the bolt is to be able to shoot modern ammo in your rifle in lieu of black powder rounds. I have Model 39 with a new bolt in it and if I shoot hot .22 in it will not eject the brass from the chamber, I shoot modern standard ammo only in the rifle. I would only shoot sub sonic r...

Re: Glenfield mod 25
The Numrich stock may not be original, most of the time the people answering the phone do not know, try e-bay or gun broker for your model 25, the price should not be that high.

Re: Model 20 Magazine Tube
I got two receivers that are both the Model 18 type and installed the inner tube in the hole drilled for the magazine to fit into, the tube takes up the outside diameter of the machined hole! That means that the inside of the outer tube is outside of the machined hole and if you chamfer the edge of ...

Model 20 Magazine Tube
I needed a full length tube for the rifle and did a lot of research on the replacement and found that a number of other Model Marlin tubes fit, I found a tube that auctioned off for one hundred twenty five and did not bid. I was checking the replacement tube on Wisners for the Model 39 and it matche...
